Job Description:
Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge at ALSTOM We are looking for a Support Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of Alstoms IT Solution which is an innovative solution dedicated to the supervision of maintenance for train fleets and signaling systems. Based in Bangalore this position is crucial in a context where we are deploying our expertise across a large number of projects worldwide. Your primary mission will be to strengthen our current support and deployment team to meet the growing demand for software support.
Your future role:
In this engaging position you will join a dynamic team based out of Villeurbanne France and Bangalore India. Youll work alongside innovative dedicated and supportive teammates. You will be the key contact to provide essential support to our clients ranging from reliability growth teams to railway depot teams after-sales service fleet control centers and external clients worldwide. You will play a vital role in resolving technical issues and optimizing the deployments of the Maintenance solution.
We will rely on you to:
- Analyze bugs reported by users via the JIRA ticketing tool and conduct necessary investigations to resolve technical issues related to new software versions.
- Track and escalate various bugs in collaboration with development teams across frontend and backend architectures as well as on databases (MariaDB PostgreSQL Cassandra Elasticsearch).
- Configure the application and ensure its correct deployment working closely with system administrators using containerization and orchestration tools such as Rancher on servers architected around the Azure Kubernetes system.
- Maintain and deploy new projects in testing pre-production and production environments.
- Train users and assist them in using the Application portal while capitalizing on expertise and best practices within a collaborative environment (Microsoft SharePoint).
Your profile:
We are looking for passionate candidates motivated by diverse technical challenges and with a strong sense of teamwork. Required skills include:
- A degree in software engineering computer science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the development or support of complex systems.
- Knowledge of web architecture (based on APIs) and SQL databases (MariaDB PostgreSQL) as well as NoSQL databases (Cassandra Elasticsearch) would be a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and great flexibility in solving technical problems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
- Proficiency in English at a professional level.
