Purpose:

This position will provide electrical maintenance and technical leadership to Faircrest Steel Solidification department production supervisors production and reliability associates and continuous improvement. The associate in this position will be the recognized electrical expert in regard to maintenance and reliability of Steel Solidification equipment and will use the electrical expertise to develop best practice technology to continue to improve Steel Solidificationoperations. This associate will direct and coordinate reliability efforts through the use of preventative predictive and proactive maintenance making use of various technologies and using the best practice to continually improve Steel Solidificationreliability procedures and methods.

Responsibilities:

• Develop equipment that is adequately maintained and operational to meet departmental operating goals and tactics within business plan periods and capitol and operational budget constraints.
• Provide assistance and indirect supervision of short- and long-range planning in Solidificationdepartments to include maintenance days downturns and extended shutdowns.
• Provide guidelines and specifications for contracted services and balance workload between internal and external personnel to achieve the quality workmanship in a timely manner at best business case.
• Provide preventative predictive and proactive maintenance programs using equipment specific information including past history failure analysis and infrared technology expertise acquired from reliability associates in the steel Solidificationgroup and business units. Utilizing all pertinent vender information supplier presentations and various Association meetings and seminars to support the success and effectiveness of these maintenance programs.
• Utilize the efforts of safety engineering purchasing environmental and other departments to update existing equipment or add new equipment to continually improve the production process of Steel Solidificationfor quality products and safe working conditions.
• Provide electrical technical expertise in establishing priorities for equipment maintenance and recommendations for repair verses replacement to minimize delay time and increase utilization production through putand return on capital investments.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledgeable in Casting and Ingot Making Equipment
• Knowledgeable in LOTOTO Standards and energy isolation practices per NFPA 70E.
• Reading electrical engineering drawings
• Troubleshooting electrical systems
• Costs and capital budgeting skills
• Familiarity associated with IBM Maximo CMMS or other comparable CMMS
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma with at least 7 years of electrical experience in manufacturing operations or maintenance.
• Associates degree in electrical engineering technology or electrical engineering with at least 4 years of electrical experience in manufacturing operations or maintenance.
• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering technology or electrical engineering with at least 2 years of electrical experience in manufacturing operations or maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma with at least 12 years of electrical experience in manufacturing operations or maintenance.
• Associates degree in electrical engineering technology or electrical engineering with at least 9 years of electrical experience in manufacturing operations or maintenance.
• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering technology or electrical engineering with at least 7 years of electrical experience in manufacturing operations or maintenance.
