We are currently seeking a Project Engineering Document Control Specialist for our Sawtooth Bridges project in Kearney NJ.
The Project Document Control Specialist is responsible for developing essential administrative processes that support project management to ensure compliance within project requirements. They maintain a document management system to ensure the efficient receipt distribution and secure central filing of project and technical documents. They ensure all team members are able to readily access the latest version of all project and technical information. They also implement and maintain strategies methods and procedures of document control throughout the life of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop process plans in line with the strategic and execution strategies of the project including monitoring actions to ensure desired results from the plans. Analyzes and makes independent recommendations regarding solutions for problems arising from implementing the Project Requirements Management Plan.
- Coordinates maintains and manages a file system within the Project Requirement Management System eBuilder Walsh Works or other system for the recording of all documents to meet project requirements and procedures. Includes setting parameters ensuring all files are appropriately allocated and searchable. Develops tracking tools such as a sophisticated database or collaboration application.
- Develops effective communication upward laterally and across the entire project community ensuring consistent messaging and interpretation of the Project Requirements Management Plan. Participates in project reporting and job control activities to ensure compliance with contract budget schedule and job costing.
- Ensures that verification and validation statements/evidences made to demonstrate compliance with project requirements are appropriate and confirm compliance.
- Organizes and prioritizes a variety of task types in an effective and timely manner sets priorities and meets deadlines performs quality review of documents to ensure that project specifications and standards are met.
- Implements and maintains procedures and standards for maintaining documents and change control of documents including document development approval production distribution and amendment.
- Plans and coordinates document and content management life cycles and may work with either structured or unstructured metadata.
- Responsible for training and mentoring Project Document Control Administrators.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 0 to 2 years of experience
- Experience with project requirements management system required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office SharePoint Procore
- Understanding of the construction industry
- Ability to prioritize organize and manage time
- Critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for learning as well as teaching others
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Salary Range: $80000 - $100000
