About the Role

Make a real impact behind the scenes of Nottinghams library services.

Are you organised proactive and looking for a role where every day is different Were looking for a Library Support Officer to join our Business Team and help keep our libraries running smoothly.

In this key role youll provide reliable and efficient administrative financial and performance data support to library services across the city.

Youll be involved in a variety of tasks including processing purchase orders invoices and financial transactions; collecting inputting and checking data to help improve our services; assisting with office administration stock control supplier management and room bookings; and responding to customer and colleague enquiries by phone email and in person.

There are 2 Part-time posts available:

Post 1: 19 hours per week (anticipated Monday - Wednesday)

Post 2: 18.5 hours per week (anticipated Wednesday - Friday)

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working collaboratively managing multiple tasks while making a difference to the communities we serve.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Essential:

  • Proven experience providing administrative and financial support in a busy office environment.
  • Confidence using a range of IT systems particularly Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook) and databases.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the confidence to handle enquiries and resolve issues professionally.
  • A flexible team-focused approach but also able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks prioritise workload and meet deadlines while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing performance data and financial orders.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of finance processesand procurement (or the willingness to learn)
