Job Title: MOHS Histotech Temporary
Location: Weatherford TX and Granbury TX
Length of Assignment: Up to 90 days or TBA-Start 10/8 and Potential for Permanent Employment

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Processes embeds cuts and stains quality frozen tissue specimens.
- Follows all lab procedures in the preparation of tissue samples for pathological testing.
- Prepares histological samples map flatten paraffin embeds samples frozen section samples sectioning staining (routine and non-routine) and review samples while ensuring quality standards.
- Performs and documents tests in compliance with quality control procedures and established parameters and standards.
- Maintains appropriate quality controls and ensures the department is operating in accordance with all standards set forth by OSHA CLIA and other regulatory agencies.
- Maintains histology equipment in good working order and troubleshoots equipment problems.
- Works with the Mohs surgeon to resolve quality control patient or procedural problems.
- Orders supplies related to the defined area.
- Cross trains appropriate staff on job duties.
- Consistently follows policies procedures and protocols at Aspire Dermatology.
- Maintains an extremely high level of confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains yearly competencies.
Requirements:
Experience - Previous Mohs lab and grossing experience preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting or student of a histology program. Ability to multitask and autonomously operate if needed in a one-on-one setting with a Mohs surgeon professionally.
