Are you finishing school and ready to launch straight into a career in engineering or drafting STP Consultants is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Townsville team as either a Junior Draftsperson or a Cadet Engineer.

Our Early Careers Program allows you to earn while you learn combining full-time work with part-time study gaining hands-on experience alongside professional development from experienced engineers and drafters.

Career Pathways:

1. Junior Draftsperson: Full-time work plus part-time study in an Associate Degree of Engineering or TAFE drafting/design course
2. Cadet Engineer: Full-time work plus part-time study in a Bachelor of Engineering

• Apply your learning directly to engineering and drafting projects that make a real difference
• Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals
• Participate in company initiatives culture programs and engagement activities
• Balance hands-on work with structured study time

What Were Looking For:

• Year 12 graduates (or soon to be) ready to start their career in engineering or drafting
• Curious motivated and eager to learn
• Willing to commit to both work and part-time study
• Interested in further education and practical real-world experience

Program Structure:

• Duration: 34 years (drafting/design) up to 8 years (engineering)
• Work schedule: 5 days a week (4 practical 1 study)
• Study: Enrolled or eligible to enrol in a recognised tertiary course (enrolment not required prior to application)
• Semester breaks: Continue full-time in the office to stay connected
