As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant you will:
- Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist provide occupational therapy services to individual or groups of patients as directed by supervisor and within the limitations described in the State Licensure Law.
- Record/report patients progress to multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Direct all professional/clinical questions and concerns to supervisor or treatment team
Requires:
- Associate of Arts Degree in occupational therapy.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the State of Maryland at the time of appointment and continuously during tenure in position. Maintain professional knowledge and skills through attendance at professional meetings workshops courses and in-service sessions.
- For some programs position requires valid drivers license and ability to operate a hospital vehicle at time of appointment.
- 3 to 6 months practice as an OTA in related work. Must have comprehensive knowledge of occupational therapy practice specific to working with the adults in the area of behavioral health.
- Positions on inpatient units may be required to work evenings weekends and holidays to facilitate programming.
