RVT Oncology Contract Position
Location: Calgary AB
Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre is welcoming a full-time Veterinary Technologist RVT to join our team in the Oncology department. This is a 1 year contract position.
- RVTs with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a tech in a small animal or mixed animal practice.
- Knowledge of physical examinations patient assessment catheter placement anesthesia monitoring radiology venipuncture and pharmacy.
- Sedation/anesthetic monitoring and patient recovery.
- Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records.
- Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their families.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to problem-solve or the ability to ask clarifying questions to help you find solutions.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents.
- Passion to learn more within the role.
- A love for all companion animals!!
About Us: C.A.R.E. is a 24-hour emergency and referral specialty hospital which operates out of a 26000-square-foot facility in Calgary. The hospital is undergoing a complete update and expansion to facilitate the ever-growing caseload and expanding specialty services including the design of a new state-of-the-art ICU.

Schedule: Monday Thursday from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
