Collection & Recovery Technical Specialist

About the Role:

The Revenues and Benefits Service has an exciting opportunity to recruit a new Technical Specialist within the Collection and Recovery Team.

This is an exciting time to join us as we develop an enhanced team committed to developing our colleagues and encouraging personal growth in conjunction with a flexible working approach so everyone can thrive in an inclusive and open environment.

About the candidate:

You will be working within the Debt and Recovery Teams and be responsible for handling the complex cases on the team and providing support to their subordinates to ensure the maximise revenue for the Council.

In addition you will be responsible for responding to service queries as instructed by your team leader and dealing with complaints/enquiries within your service area to an appropriate deadline

You can expect to join highly dedicated teams and work with skilled and committed managers to take forward our ambitious and exciting change programme.

Focussed on continuous improvement and quality services you will work in a supportive environment with a strong leadership team giving stability direction and energy to the service and making a difference.

We have embraced new ways of working and hybrid working between home and work will be a feature of this role. You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary. Our technology platform and equipment allow you to connect and collaborate remotely which requires that you have in place good connectivity. This will be discussed during the recruitment process if support is required.
