| Job Description: | The University of Floridas Office of Admissions is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Admissions Officer to join our Transfer Evaluations team. This position is responsible for evaluating and accurately posting transfer credits from various institutions onto students official records. Key responsibilities include: Transfer Credit Evaluation - Create initial records of academic credits and initiate the evaluation of transfer credits from various sources including electronic paper PDF transcripts and test scores.
- Use systems such as Slate OnBase and Campus Solutions to match transfer credits from other institutions to the University of Floridas format.
- Exercise independent judgment to assess how external coursework compares to UF courses and determine appropriate credit transfers.
- Accurately classify transfer credits by institution type course level transfer eligibility and compliance with academic requirements such as the Gordon Rule.
- Enter and validate credits earned through graduate-level coursework UF international programs military service and standardized exams.
- Provide guidance and training to other admissions personnel on transfer credit evaluation procedures and best practices.
- Work closely with colleagues in the OneStop Enrollment Services team to resolve transfer-related inquiries and ensure consistent evaluation practices.
Communication and Information Services - Maintain working knowledge of application processes for prospective freshmen transfer students and readmitted applicants.
- Respond to inquiries from prospective students families and campus partners with clear and reliable information about admissions policies and procedures.
- Communicate professionally via email phone and in-person interactions including occasional walk-ins.
Other duties - Perform additional duties as assigned demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the Office of Admissions.
