Early Head Start Teacher

Seeking an energetic nurturing educator who enjoys spending time with young children. The individual will possess an Bachelors Degree in a related field with Early Childhood Education classes and a Gateways Level 4 Early Childhood Education credential or higher. This individual will provide effective instructional strategies classroom management learning assessment evaluation and related research for toddlers. This individual will facilitate developmentally appropriate learning experiences supervise all assigned children and facilitate a supportive and positive classroom environment. This position offers an annual salary of $46500 including medical vision dental paid time off 401K and other voluntary benefits.

Position Highlights

1. Ensures that all children within the classroom have sufficient high quality observations maintain up-to-date documentation in databases (Teaching Strategies GOLD) child education files and child portfolios.
2. Ensures the individual needs of each child are met as mandated by Head Start COA federal state and local standards.
3. Serves as a co-leader for the classroom team providing thoughtful guidance to children families teaching team volunteers and other visitors.
4. Facilitates an inclusive environment where children can learn in-group lesson plans through collaboration from the entire teaching team.
5. Communicates with families and reports child progress through scheduled parent-teacher conferences and home visits.
6. Work on other Adhoc projects as deemed necessary by the Early Learning Academy Program Director.
