Principal Engineer, DevOps

Ruckus Networks a CommScope BU is looking for a Principal Devops Engineer to join our team in Richardson TX.

How Youll help us connect the world:

• Maintenance configuration and reliable operation of computer systems network servers and virtualization
• Orchestrating Kubernetes clusters including monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Perform GKE cluster and Istio service mesh upgrade with no downtime in multi region environment.
• Develop automation scripts to perform releases build verification and upgrade notification using Python SQL Docker and Go lang.
• Develop test and deploy automation systems including Jenkins Terraform and Python/bash scripts to configure networks security policies virtual machines disk storage buckets and Kubernetes clusters.
• Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Responsible for capacity and storage planning

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology System Administration or a closely related field.
• 10 years of database network administration or system administration experience
• System administration and IT certifications in Linux Microsoft or other network related fields are a plus
• Working knowledge of virtualization VMWare or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software hardware and networking protocols
• Experience with scripting and automation tools
• A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices including expert knowledge of security storage data protection and disaster recovery protocols .

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants skill sets years of experience training education geography and other business needs. Depending on experience the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This positions expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $118800.00-$153300.00

The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package including medical dental and vision plans life and accidental death insurance a 401(k) plan and participation in the Companys Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date) as well as other leave options.
