Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for a Paraprofessional - Instructional position that is available at Christiansburg Primary School.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Instructional Aide assists teachers in presenting and reinforcing instructional objectives by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve the skill level expected of the class.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of an associate degree or 48 semester hours of college or a passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment Exam
• Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to learn to operate and maintain a wide variety of instructional equipment
• Candidates should possess excellent reading writing and computation skills
• Demonstrated personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students teachers and parents
• Ability to be dependable and punctual
• Have experience in fostering an inclusive learning environment

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

SALARY: $24175.21 - $38853.34 annually; with benefits; commensurate with experience (salary may change due to 2025-2026 budget considerations)
