Summary:
The Registrations and Ceremonies Officer will play a key role in delivering statutory registration services on behalf of Southwark Council. This includes the registration of births deaths marriages and civil partnerships as well as the administration and conduct of ceremonies. The role requires a high level of professionalism accuracy and sensitivity ensuring all residents receive excellent customer service during some of the most significant events in their lives.
Responsibilities:
- Register births still-births deaths marriages and civil partnerships in line with statutory requirements and national guidance.
- Provide advice and support to members of the public regarding registration processes documentation and legal requirements.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of celebratory events including naming ceremonies and vow renewals.
- Uphold Southwark Councils values of inclusivity equality and community service in all interactions.
Essentials:
- General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or equivalent including English and Maths
- Experience in delivering high-quality customer service in sensitive or emotionally challenging situations

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
