ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple mechanical construction projects across various sites. This role serves as a key liaison between the client project managers field supervisors and office personnel ensuring that work is planned executed and completed safely efficiently and to high-quality standards.

The Mechanical Superintendent will be actively involved in project planning execution and closeout and will lead initiatives that promote mentorship team development and continuous improvement.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a Mechanical Superintendent youll report to the Field Operations Manager and oversee multiple projects ensuring seamless coordination and execution. Your day will include:

• Managing project schedules budgets and resources to ensure success.
• Leading and mentoring Site Supervisors Foremen and staff to achieve operational excellence.
• Collaborating with safety teams to enforce and enhance company safety policies.
• Conducting project pre-planning and reviewing designs for cost-effectiveness and compliance.
• Addressing job and schedule delays proactively to minimize losses.
• Overseeing quality control and assurance to maintain Halls reputation for excellence.
• Representing Hall Mechanical at site meetings and fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical construction or a related field.
• Proven track record in managing multiple large-scale projects and teams.
• Strong understanding of plumbing HVAC and mechanical systems as well as building codes and safety regulations.
• Journeyman or Red Seal certification in a mechanical trade (e.g. plumbing gas fitting); PMP or considered an asset.
• Excellent organizational leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with project management tools and processes including RFIs change orders and Site Docs.
