About the Role
Platform Science is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Part-Time Front Desk Contractor to join our team at our vibrant San Diego HQ. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth secure and professional first impression for all visitors employees and contractors. This is a part-time schedule position (9:00am - 3:30pm as needed).
Essential Responsibilities
- Reception and Guest Management: Serve as the primary point of contact at the front desk warmly welcoming and directing all visitors candidates and guests.
- Maintain a professional and clean reception area. Answer screen and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Security and Access Control: Manage and facilitate access for employees who need access to the facility.
- Coordinate and issue temporary access credentials for contractors and long-term guests following established security protocols. Maintain accurate visitor logs and ensure all sign-in procedures are followed.
- Facilities Support: Act as a dedicated resource for the Site Facilities Professional completing assigned tasks as necessary to support the operational needs of the office (e.g. mail sorting inventory checks light administrative support).
- Assist with setting up for internal meetings or events as requested.
Experience
- Proven experience in a customer service administrative or front desk/receptionist role preferably in a corporate environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a polished professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g. G Suite or Microsoft Office).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously prioritize effectively and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and helpful attitude with a strong commitment to service excellence.
- Must be reliable and punctual for all scheduled shifts.
Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated hourly rate for this role is between$22.00 and $28.00. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set work experience relevant trainings and certifications business needs market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
