Job Summary
Job Title: Software Engineer - DevSecOps
Primary Location: Remote - Must Reside in the U.S.
Position Type: Contract - 6 Months
Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Software Engineer - DevSecOps. This is a 6-month contract role. The SWE-DevSecOps will build out and maintain the infrastructure CI/CD and cloud foundations needed to support secure scalable web applications accelerate DevSecOps adoption and ensure operational reliability.
What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent)
Minimum of 1-2 years of software engineering experience may include internship experience
Proficiency in an interpreted language (e.g. Python JavaScript etc.)
Experience with shell scripting
Experience working with a relational database (e.g. PostgreSQL MariaDB)
Experience with a public cloud platform (AWS GCP Azure)
Preferred Qualifications:
Linux system administration skills
Experience with CI/CD platforms (e.g. GitLab CI/CD Jenkins)
Familiarity with container runtimes (Docker Podman)
Familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes Docker Swarm)
Experience using configuration management / IaC tools (Ansible Terraform)
What Youll Do (Skills Used in this Position)
Develop web applications build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage cloud infrastructure to support DevSecOps practices
Collaborate with other engineers to define and support infrastructure needs
Author internal and external documentation (infrastructure processes runbooks)
Respond to incident and issue reports: triage implement fixes and build regression tests
Support ongoing maintenance monitoring and reliability improvements
Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $35 - $50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance 401(k) and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
