About Us

Randal Retail Group established in 1981 is a third-generation family-owned business operated out of Batavia IL. Randal manufacturers and installs custom store fixtures signage and graphics. Our team designs and manufactures custom millwork seating and tables nationally and internationally. Randal Retail works with a number of retail foodservice health & fitness and franchise operations.

About the role

Join a fast-paced office environment servicing clients daily while working alongside internal teams like purchasing production and sales to fulfill customer needs. The individual that fills this position will excel using their own organization time-management and AutoCAD specific skills. This individual should have a strong desire to learn; were constantly evolving as a company and we design and manufacture unique fixtures with a fantastic culture and amazing team of people. Experience with CNC routers would be helpful. Problem-solving and the ability to work autonomously and also as a team is critical. Responsibilities:

Ability to read blueprints
Create and edit 2D and 3D product drawings and layouts using AutoCAD
- Solidworks Revit Intervenor etc DO NOT APPLY. Only AutoCAD
Collaborate and coordinate with project managers to resolve discrepancies and complete projects
Design and engineer complex fixtures utilizing custom hardware and different materials
Review drawings to ensure adherence to established standards
Make and review shop drawings for manufacturing
Produce machine code from product drawings

Requirements

Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Drafting and Design is preferred but will consider relevant experience in lieu of degree
Resourceful engineering savvy able to quickly contort to new guidelines and be open to new points of view new information and new ideas
Must be a team player/work well with others
Proficient in 3D AutoCAD
Microvellum software knowledge is a plus
Ability to visualize concepts and articulate ideas well
Must be able to read and process measurements blueprints directions instructions and manuals etc.
Very good organization skills
Experience in a similar field such as cabinetry or millwork is a plus
