Your Responsibilities
- Caseload Management: Managing a varied caseload of employment law matters for both employers and employees
- Tribunal Claims: Handling unfair dismissal discrimination and harassment claims
- Advisory Work: Advising on employment contracts policies and procedures
- Tribunal Representation: Representing clients at employment tribunal hearings and mediations
- Settlement Negotiations: Conducting settlement agreement negotiations and drafting documentation
- Strategic Matters: Managing TUPE transfers redundancy procedures and disciplinary matters
- Business Advisory: Providing strategic employment law advice to business clients
- Professional Liaison: Liaising with ACAS employment tribunals and other legal professionals
- Client Relationships: Building and maintaining strong client relationships across both sectors
- Business Development: Contributing to business development and department growth
- Legal Knowledge: Staying current with employment law developments and case law
Essential Requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experienced Employment Law Fee Earner with proven track record
- Strong knowledge of employment law and tribunal procedures
- Dual representation experience advising both employers and employees
- Case management skills with ability to manage own caseload with minimal supervision
Technical Skills:
- Tribunal advocacy experience with confident hearing representation
- Settlement negotiations and agreement drafting expertise
- TUPE and redundancy procedures knowledge
- Legal technology proficiency with case management systems experience
Key Skills:
- Excellent advocacy and negotiation skills
- Strong communication and client care abilities across both sectors
- Commercial awareness and commitment to business development
- Problem-solving abilities with strategic approach to complex employment matters
- Time management skills with ability to prioritise urgent tribunal deadlines
