Job Summary

The State of Montana has a decentralized human resources (HR) system. Each agency is responsible for its own recruitment and selection. What are we looking for

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelors degree in Computer Science or IT-related field; OR

  • An associates degree with coursework emphasizing programming and two years of applicable experience as an IT professional providing application development and systems analysis services; OR

  • Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

It would be a plus if you have specific experience with:

  • SQL (Oracle)

  • Web Services (REST SOAP)

  • Web based programing ()

  • PeopleTools (Application Designer)

  • PeopleCode

  • Application Engine

  • SQR

  • Integration Broker

  • XML Publisher

Competencies:

Ability to:

  • Write code using various languages;

  • Follow development testing migration and documentation procedures;

  • Access relational databases using SQL;

  • Work independently to troubleshoot issues;

  • Communicate effectively with technical team members and system users to analyze and define solutions;

  • Deliver exceptional customer service

What is this career opportunity
The Financials Services Technology Bureau is looking for an Application Developer to provide support to the States enterprise PeopleSoft Financials would work on a team with 3 other Application Engineers reporting to the section manager.You would also work closely with our team of 6 System Analysts depending on the projects assigned to you.Your responsibilities would include technical analyses software development and programming support of the Financials modules.
