Job: Events Operations Associate

Reports To: Banquet Manager

Job Summary

The Event Operations Associate supports the execution of banquets and special events by preparing transporting and maintaining equipment; assisting with event setups and breakdowns; and providing service support during meal periods. This role ensures that events run smoothly spaces remain polished and guest experiences reflect Goodstones standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Event Equipment Preparation & Transport

Follow packing lists to load/unload vehicles with event equipment (tables china glassware service ware linens chairs etc.).
Return all items to proper storage locations and maintain banquet equipment storage clean and organized.

Event Space & Grounds Support

Conduct post-event sweeps of event spaces and surrounding grounds (especially after weddings).
Ensure all rentals trash or furniture are properly removed or reset.

Delivery & Meal Service Support

Manage delivery orders according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO) timeline.
Pick up food from the kitchen prepare condiments and gather beverages from the Carriage House.
Set up buffet and service equipment in assigned event spaces.
Brew coffee as needed assist guests during meal service and clear buffet areas after service.

Other Duties

Support the banquet and events team with additional tasks as assigned.
Ensure adherence to Goodstones service standards and commitment to a refined guest experience.

Qualifications and Skills

Prior experience in hospitality banquets or event operations preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to follow directions work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings weekends and holidays.
Must be at least 18 and possess a valid drivers license.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Fast-paced team-oriented hospitality setting requiring adaptability to last-minute changes.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.
Regular use of hands and arms for handling equipment and supplies.
Ability to climb stairs and move event equipment safely
