NC Programmer R41556
The NC Programmer will create NC programs for cutting and punching materials in fabrication department. The main objective of this role is to create NC programs in a timely manner to keep fabrication department on schedule and keep CNC machines operating to cut and punch parts for various facilities. Work with manufacturing supervisors team leaders design engineers quality control and materials management to ensure the product process and procedural changes are implemented smoothly.

YOUR IMPACT:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Clean up extraneous data from CAD drawings and save in format for input to nesting software to maintain a more efficient part library function.
  • Apply correct tooling for punched parts placing tabs to hold part in sheet. Apply correct cutting paths to laser and waterjet parts placing tabs to hold part in sheet.
  • Perform nesting of parts ensuring efficiency of part placement in material sheets; create NC programs for parts too large for nesting or requiring special tooling such as louvers.
  • Compare order revision to part library revision and update as needed to match manufacturing order; verify part is correctly routed to fabrication machines.
  • Ensure that NC programs are delivered to fabrication department before scheduled start date to ensure fabrication stays on schedule and deliver parts in time for next operation.
  • Identify and implement ideas that enhance productivity or product.
  • Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and part specifications to develop accurate bend programs.
  • Create edit and optimize CNC press brake programs for efficient and precise part production.
  • Select correct tooling bending sequences and machine parameters to meet part requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
  • Three (3) years experience or equivalent

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree
  • Experience with Optimation SigmaNest ByCam
  • Experience in programming and forming metal parts

Pay Range:

$50400.00 - $77200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
