About the Academy:
Outwood Academy Riverside founded in September 2020 through the Free Schools Programme implements the Riverside values program for all students at the start of every academic year.
The academy is dedicated to the wide variety of students who enrol ensuring strong routines and top-notch pastoral care for all pupils.
Located at Russell Street Middlesbrough Outwood Academy Riverside is set to have a new school built on Pioneering Way close to Middlesbrough College. Additionally a satellite site in Eston opened in September 2024 to our new year 7s as the school continues to grow.
We are seeking to recruit a Science Technician to provide technical support to the Science Department. Duties will include preparing materials and resources for lessons setting up equipment for practical sessions and assisting teaching staff with practical and examination work.
The successful candidate will have Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths and relevant Health and Safety qualifications identified in the person specification. Experience of working in a school is desirable. Most important is the ability to be able to work independently and in a team have initiative and good organisational skills.
It is vital that you are able to prioritise your workload and ensure that strict deadlines are met whilst working under pressure and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
