Description
- Provide individual group and family treatment consistent with treatment plan and identified therapeutic needs of clients(s) using up-to-date therapy methods/models
- Conduct initial evaluations of clients mental health problems and formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan consistent with clinical standards
- Document all client services/contacts in client record
- Complete all necessary clinical documentation assessments treatment plans and reviews and evaluations/summaries in a timely manner following program procedures
- Complete necessary documentation required for managed care/Insurance authorizations and reauthorizations
- Participate in staff/clinical team meetings supervision and case reviews for administrative purposes and the development and implementation of client treatment
- Responsible to attend workshops seminars conferences etc. for continued professional growth to stay abreast of best practices and/or to ensure relevant skills and knowledge for effective performance
- Refer child adolescent and/or family for additional or alternative services as indicated
- Advocate for clients their rights and assist clients in ensuring their rights are protected and preserved
- Enter and maintain daily schedule into computer as required by departmental procedures
- Comply with Agency policies and procedures including those regarding conduct confidentiality and record keeping
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Counseling Social Work Psychology or related field
- Experience treating children/adolescents with mental health issues and their families. Experience with evidence based /supported trauma therapy model a plus.
