Job Summary
Health and Safety Manager
EHS Manager
Our client a leading manufacturer of building and industrial materials is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to oversee all safety programs regulatory compliance training reporting and case management.
Responsibilities:
-Manage develop and review regulatory programs plant safety policies and all safety training including tracking and reporting.
-Oversee workers compensation cases including doctor visits case reviews light duty assignments reporting and financial forecasting.
-Provide hazard identification training conduct plant audits investigate incidents to determine root cause and develop corrective actions.
-Control the health and safety budget (PPE supplies first aid) and prepare weekly and monthly safety program reports.
-Serve as Medical First Responder support Management of Change reviews and perform additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-Bachelors degree with 5 years of safety management or leadership in a manufacturing or industrial environment
-Strong knowledge of OSHA ANSI NFPA workers compensation and hazard recognition
-Certified in First Aid AED and CPR
-Proven leadership with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
-Able to work independently and collaboratively with plant leadership
-Minimal travel required (0-10 days per year)
-Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
-Work environment includes both office and plant settings with potential exposure to noise temperature extremes dust and moving machinery
