Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee daily operations in our steel and foundry facility. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production planning process optimization workforce supervision and adherence to quality and safety standards in a high-temperature industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the complete foundry and steel production cycle including melting molding casting and finishing
Develop and execute production schedules in alignment with business goals and customer deadlines
Optimize resource utilization machine uptime and material usage to reduce costs and improve productivity
Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing 5S and Kaizen practices on the shop floor
Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO ASTM etc.) and supervise quality control procedures
Collaborate with Maintenance Quality Procurement and Design departments to troubleshoot issues and improve operations
Monitor and manage KPIs like yield rejection rate downtime and labor efficiency
Enforce workplace safety environmental regulations and emergency response procedures
Lead train and evaluate production staff and supervisors

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Metallurgy Mechanical Engineering Materials Science or a related field
Minimum 510 years of experience in a foundry or steel manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong understanding of melting technologies (Induction Furnace Cupola etc.) and casting techniques
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP Oracle etc.) and Microsoft Excel for reporting and planning
Familiarity with quality control methods and non-destructive testing (NDT)
Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards (e.g. OSHA)
Excellent problem-solving communication and leadership skills
