DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
This role supports high-profile web applications within the Child Care and Child Welfare (CCCW) section of DCF. Projects include .NET MVC and .NET 8 web applications leveraging JavaScript Blazor and Kendo UI with the environment 99% modernized from legacy mainframe to MVC (C#) WebAPI n-tier architecture and SQL Server. The developer joins an existing team and may contribute to other projects as needed. Responsibilities include requirements analysis design full-stack web development (front end and server side) testing interactive code reviews technical documentation and production support. Technologies used include JavaScript MVC with C# SQL Server and (as applicable) DB2 and Oracle databases. Expectations include writing quality code using TDD participating in active code reviews sharing expertise transparent and respectful communication and handling production support. Preference for familiarity with automated testing GitLab/Jenkins or other CI platforms and solid TDD experience. Domain familiarity with DCF programs the Wisconsin CARES system State of Wisconsin standards/procedures and DCF Child Care applications is highly addition to main apps on C# .NET 6 MVC (and some legacy Web Forms) other current/planned efforts may benefit from experience with DB2 mainframe/COBOL modernization xPression iOS/Objective-C/Swift front-end UI design modern front-end frameworks (Angular/React/Vue/Alpine/Blazor Server) Kendo UI Crystal/Telerik Reports IIS-hosted applications PowerShell and CI/CD pipeline configuration (e.g. Azure DevOps Artifacts).
