The Role
Core Accounting & Compliance:
Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies partnerships and sole traders
Handle VAT returns and basic tax compliance work with accuracy and efficiency
Support audit and assurance engagements under experienced partner supervision
Utilise cutting-edge cloud accounting platforms (Xero Sage QuickBooks) for bookkeeping and accounts preparation
Client Development & Support:
Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication and exceptional service
Participate in client meetings and provide technical support under guidance
Support senior team members with complex client work and advisory projects
Contribute to practice development and continuous improvement initiatives
What Youll Bring
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA (minimum Level 3)
2-4 years UK practice experience in accounts preparation and bookkeeping
Strong technical foundation in statutory accounts and compliance procedures
Experience with accounting software (Xero Sage QuickBooks advantageous)
Personal & Professional Skills:
Excellent attention to detail with proven accuracy under pressure
Strong client service focus with professional communication abilities
Ambition to progress and complete professional qualifications (ACA/ACCA)
Team collaboration skills with proactive problem-solving approach
Time management expertise to handle diverse client portfolios effectively
