Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units our Technical Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer a major service partner to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for aProject Manager in Melbourne to work on Land projects.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key role responsibilities including:
Develop and manage project plans schedules and budgets for IBMS initiatives.
Define project scopes objectives and deliverables aligned with business needs.
Engage with internal teams vendors and contractors for effective collaboration and communication.
Identify assess and mitigate project risks and issues implementing contingency plans.
Ensure compliance with policies safety standards and contribute to continuous process improvements.
What Youll Bring
Tertiary qualifications in Project Management ICT or Engineering with specialist experience in defining requirements and planning monitoring and controlling capability life cycles.
Proven ability to solve complex problems and manage technical operational and logistical issues to support capability delivery.
Expertise in evaluating capability sustainment to ensure compliance with legislative policy and regulatory frameworks.
Strong collaborative skills with effective communication across internal and external stakeholders.
Highly desirable knowledge of Australian and international standards Land C4 environment experience Agile project management and certified membership with the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).
Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimumNegative Vetting 1or higher Security clearance as required by the some instances compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
