Overview

The Coors location of PRESNow is seeking an LPN.


Provides direct patient care in the acute care setting of the emergency department or inpatient area utilizing various nursing skills and established standards of care at the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Practical Nursing Formal Education approved by the NM Board of Nursing
  • Licensed Practical Nurse-NM
  • BLS required
  • PDS IV Certification course (within orientation period)
  • Basic Cardiac Arrythmias (BCA) for areas where cardiac telemetry monitoring is used (prior to ACLS)
  • ACLS (within 6 months of being hired) for areas where required

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Credentials:
Essential:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse-NM
  • Current BLS required

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the LPN scope of practice by contributing to the assessment of the health status of individuals families and communities.
  • Deliver direct patient care including administering treatments as prescribed assisting nurses and physicians with various procedures and documenting individual patient needs actions taken and patient responses.
  • Administer prescribed medications including medications given through established parenteral/intravenous infusions as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and document according to policy.
  • Document and report patient condition care delivery and post procedure follow up. Assess changes in patient s condition and report to nurse and physician as needed.
  • Incorporates nursing activities that create a compassionate supportive and therapeutic environment for patients and staff with the aim of promoting comfort and healing
  • Applies Exceptional Patient Experience principles and incorporates into care interactions
