About the Role
We are seeking a System Development Engineer to support our Event Engineering team. This team is responsible for ensuring the video quality and stability of large and/or strategically important streaming events. You will be part of a team of Event Engineers that supports events by assisting in event planning providing an onsite presence during events serving as a technical point of contact for third parties engaging in high touch onboarding troubleshooting video problems and supporting feature development activities such as Enhanced Broadcasting.
You Will
- Provide pre-production consulting capacity planning preflight testing and active monitoring for events from both remote and onsite contexts
- Act as a technical point of contact for third-parties
- Engage in high-touch onboarding for Twitch partners VIPs and other strategic individuals
- Troubleshoot video problems for other Twitch teams
- Assist product teams with video-related Twitch feature development

- Proven ability to deliver under pressure in a live environment. Preferably TV or streaming video.
- Ability to collaborate with Network Ops Systems and Software Engineers on improving event execution application performance and system requirements
- Strong organization communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with AWS Interactive Video Service (IVS)
- A passion for eSports and gaming events
- Experience in event management (even better if you have eSports experience)
- Software development experience in any language

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
