On the Disability/Long Term Care team were strong advocates of paycheck protection and ensuring people dont have to worry about long term care needs later in life.

Primary Responsibilities:

Case managers serve as a liaison between our financial professionals and insurance carriers doing everything you can to make everyones experience as easy as possible. Youll be part underwriter part teammate for the financial professionals we serve helping them with everything from price quotes to closing. To be successful you will:

  • Monitor case progress track down requirements and provide proactive case status updates

  • Review application information including medical history to identify any issues that could present a problem if necessary youll research and present alternative solutions

  • Identify issues which may impede issuance of the policy; based on assessment and on knowledge of practices of individual carriers contacts marketing and/or Ash Long Term Care underwriter to confirm validity of issues

  • Respond to quote requests by gathering and assessing client information then making a product recommendation; if necessary you can seek input or refer requests to a marketing specialist

  • Educate yourself on the latest product offerings and industry developments and in turn educate advisors on those subjects to help create new business opportunities

  • Continuously look for ways to expedite and improve our processes and services

  • Maintain positive relationships with your agents and underwriters

  • Enjoy speaking voice to voice to deliver status

Primary Skills & Requirements:

  • Superior negotiation skills to influence successful outcomes

  • Track record of success in fast-paced customer service environment

  • Strong phone and computer skills specifically Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to quickly learn use of our internal and carrier software

  • Business experience with a focus in finance insurance or medical terminology preferred OR

  • Bachelors degree with major in business or related field plus two to three years of related experience and/or training OR

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
