Job Summary and Responsibilities
The position leads the development implementation and oversight of the Regional Value Hub Quality and Risk department(s) in order to ensure the delivery of high quality coordinated and efficient care for patients covered under Common Spirit Healths value-based contracts. The position has management responsibility for all Quality and Risk staff and departments as assigned. The role closely collaborates with other CSH leadership teams across Value Hubs and the enterprise with a goal of delivering high-quality cost-effective care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The successful Director will set the vision for the department in concert with the National PHSO Quality and Risk strategy with consideration for local needs and nuances and is responsible for disseminating the vision to the rest of the team. The Director is responsible for the operational activities within the departments assigned including but not limited to interviewing hiring corrective actions and termination of employees within the team. Finally the Director will have a working knowledge of regulatory accreditation and contractual obligations dictating the priorities and workflows for their team(s) and will know when and how to seek out additional assistance / expertise when necessary.
Job Requirements
- Required Bachelors Degree in related discipline; Masters Degree strongly preferred
- 5 years of leadership experience with 3 years at the manager level
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high performing service organization
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and positively impact operations in a large healthcare organization through a matrix relationship
- Broad understanding of the healthcare industry
- Strong working knowledge of software platforms
- Budgeting experience
- Knowledge of CMS NCQA and other accreditation bodies
- Knowledge of value based reimbursement models of payment
