About Road Scholar
Were looking for a creative data-savvy and strategic Social Media & Community Specialist to join our team. This role is a key driver of our social media presence responsible for developing platform-specific content and campaigns managing our online communities and using data to inform strategic decisions.
Road Scholar offers a remote-first work environment. The compensation range for this exempt level salaried position is $59000 - $65000 based on experience.
In this role you will provide...
Content Strategy & Collaboration
- Develop and own platform-specific content strategies in close collaboration with the Social Media team.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal teamsincluding writing design and datato develop and execute campaigns and initiatives.
- Translate community insights and social listening data into actionable content strategies and creative briefs.
- Stay ahead of industry trends best practices and emerging platforms to test new ideas and keep our content fresh and relevant.
Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Analyze key engagement metrics to independently assess the effectiveness of all social media efforts.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of audience behavior to provide strategic recommendations for content and campaign improvements.
- Work closely with the data team to apply insights and optimize content performance and future strategy.
Community Management & Social Listening
- Independently manage and respond to comments messages and discussions across Road Scholars social media channels making real-time decisions that align with brand guidelines.
- Proactively identify and escalate customer service issues working directly with the Participant Experience team to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
- Foster meaningful conversations and a sense of community by developing and implementing engagement strategies.
- Utilize social listening tools to monitor industry trends brand sentiment and key discussions and synthesize these insights to inform broader strategy.
Were seeking someone who...
- 1-3 years experience using social media marketing strategies.
- Degree in marking communications writing or another related major highly preferred or equivalent experience.
- Skilled written communicator who views social media captions as an art.
- Thrives on both independent work and collaboration taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Is creative curious and eager to test new ideas.
- Has a data-driven mindset and can interpret key metrics to assess campaign success.
- Has a solid understanding of social media marketing principles (professional experience is a plus but personal content creation experience is also valued).
- Is organized and detail-oriented while balancing multiple projects.
- Bonus: Experience with tools like Hootsuite Meta Business Suite Meta Ads Manager or social media analytics platforms (but not required).
