Senior Accountant
Location: Remote (Philippines preferred)
Compensation: $2500$3500/month USD
Industry: Artificial Intelligence / Technology
Schedule: Full-time aligned with U.S. Eastern Time (EST)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage comprehensive accounting functions for our U.S.-based operations. This role is ideal for Philippine accounting talent with extensive experience in U.S. GAAP tax compliance and remote collaboration. You will work closely with our finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting compliance and strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Process all aspects of accounting including accounts payable/receivable payroll and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Tax Compliance: Manage federal state and local tax filings including sales tax payroll tax and income tax returns.
- Audit Preparation: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and implement recommendations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets forecasts and financial models.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with U.S.-based teams including operations and HR to align financial strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with at least 3 years supporting U.S.-based companies.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of U.S. GAAP tax laws and financial regulations.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish or Portuguese fluency is a plus.
- Certifications: CPA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Remote Work: Proven ability to work effectively in a remote cross-cultural environment with U.S. time zone overlap.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $2500$3500/month USD commensurate with experience.
- Flexibility: Fully remote position with flexible working hours requiring alignment with U.S. Eastern Time (EST).
