This position performs all duties of an A.L.E.R.T. Rotor Wing Pilot complying with the Federal Aviation Regulations and the Logan Health General Operations Manual.

Qualifications:
- A valid FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter pilot license required.
- A valid FAA Instrument Helicopter rating required.
- Minimum of a current FAA Class II medical certificate required.
- 2500 hours total helicopter time 2000 hours PIC (turbine) and 200 night hours required.
- NVG Mountain experience required.
- Bell 407/407GX experience preferred.
- Must satisfactorily meet and maintain Flight Crew requirements as listed below:
- All current Flight Crewmembers will continuously meet the stated physical requirements to remain in flight status.
- Maximum body weight with flight gear (flight suit jacket boots helmet: approximately 10#): 250 lbs.
- It is the responsibility of each crewmember to know the physical requirements and to notify assigned leadership if they do not meet these requirements at any time.
- Excellent organizational skills detail-oriented a self-starter possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
- Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact professionalism and diplomacy.
- Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
- Ensures helicopter operation in a safe professional manner on all flights in accordance with the A.L.E.R.T. General Operations Manual and the applicable FARs.
- Responds to dispatch requests with go/no-go decision within five (5) minutes when performing in duty pilot role.
- Documents and maintains flight and duty time logs per department procedure.
- Completes the required annual ground training by due date.
- Performs any additional duties as assigned to include education safety and public relations briefings.
- Accurately moves the helicopter onto the helipad and back into the hangar per department procedure.
- Actively cultivates a positive interpersonal relationship with the emergency response team and maintains a calm professional manner under stressful conditions difficult patients harried crew deteriorating weather etc.
- Takes initiative to improve the effectiveness of the operation and proactively works with other team members to attain.
- Assists with loading/unloading patients to and from the helicopter per department procedure.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
