Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced 6G Fitter Welder for Towers to join our welding division. This position specializes in welding for heating and cooling tower projects requiring precise 6G welds and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. The 6G Fitter Welder for Towers will play a critical role in ensuring all welded joints meet industry strength and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform 6G welding on carbon steel stainless steel and alloy pipe.
Complete spool fabrication assembly and welding tasks per project requirements.
Ensure welds meet or exceed industry codes and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Use a variety of welding processes including MIG TIG and Stick as needed.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean hazard-free work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a 6G Fitter Welder for Towers or in similar 6G pipe welding roles.
Ability to pass the required 6G MIG and Fluxcore pipe test (Schedule 160).
Strong understanding of welding codes quality control standards and inspection requirements.
Must be able to work long shifts and overtime when needed.
Excellent blueprint reading and layout skills.
Reliable safety-focused and detail-oriented.
