The Health and Society program at The University of Texas at Austin seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/non-tenure track positions to teach undergraduate courses. Positions are not available every semester and are contingent upon student enrollment and the availability of funding. Appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis though sometimes a year-long or years-long appointment can be made. Positions are renewable annually or multi-annually contingent upon funding position and performance. Salary is dependent upon position and qualifications.
A Ph.D. in a social science or humanities discipline that focused on a health-related topic is preferred. Previous college-level teaching experience is required.
