Job Summary
Position Overview:
- The Catering Specialist supports the growth and success of the restaurants catering program by assisting leadership with goal-setting executing marketing initiatives and ensuring excellent service in fulfilling catering orders. This role requires a balance of strategic outreach operational support and relationship-building to expand the catering business and create lasting partnerships. This role is 80% operational and 20% catering management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to develop catering goals and strategies to achieve them.
- Actively market catering services through phone calls networking and in-person outreach including visiting local businesses door-to-door.
- Build strong relationships with local companies organizations and community partners to expand catering opportunities.
- Assist with the preparation packaging and delivery of catering orders to ensure accuracy timeliness and quality.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients and addressing their catering needs.
- Represent the brand professionally and positively in all interactions with customers and partners.
- Support leadership in tracking progress toward catering goals and identifying new growth opportunities.
- Must be able to effectively present a sales pitch.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with others.
- Comfortable with outreach including phone calls and in-person marketing.
- Organized dependable and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Team-oriented with a proactive attitude toward achieving goals.
- Previous experience in sales marketing customer service or food service is desired.
