Senior Accountant - Established Chartered Practice with Heritage
Salary: 36000 - 40000 Career Progression

The Role
Client Portfolio Management:
Prepare statutory accounts and comprehensive management accounts for diverse client base
Manage your own client portfolio with direct relationship responsibility
Handle VAT returns and compliance work with accuracy and efficiency
Deliver business advisory services to support client growth and development
Team Leadership & Development:
Mentor junior team members providing technical guidance and career support
Contribute to business development initiatives and practice growth strategies
Support practice development through client relationship expansion
Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and service delivery
What Youll Bring
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE) with strong technical foundation
3-5 years UK practice experience in accounts preparation and client management
Strong technical knowledge across statutory accounts management accounts and compliance
Proficiency with accounting software (Sage Xero QuickBooks and other platforms)
Professional Skills & Qualities:
Excellent client communication abilities with proven relationship management experience
Portfolio management experience with ability to handle diverse client requirements
Team collaboration skills with mentoring and development capabilities
Business development awareness with commercial understanding
Strong attention to detail with ability to work accurately under pressure
Proactive approach to problem-solving and client service excellence
