Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedSAP Basis Consultantto join our Technology Center of Excellence. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in managing SAP systems HANA databases cloud deployments and integration interfaces. This role involves system administration performance tuning troubleshooting and supporting both on-premise and cloud-based SAP environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing technical support and system administration for SAP applications including SAP SuccessFactors.
- Perform SAP system installations upgrades patch management and performance tuning.
- Monitor and troubleshoot SAP environments across ECC S/4HANA BW BI BTP and RISE platforms.
- Support integration between SAP systems and external platforms (cloud and on-premise).
- Manage SAP transport systems backup/recovery solutions and high-availability configurations.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams functional teams and external vendors to ensure ERP system stability.
- Implement corrections release upgrades installations updates and patches.
- Translate application requirements into technical architecture and system/server configurations.
- Provide input on hardware network products system software and security decisions.
- Support automation in SAP on Cloud environments including GCP deployments and disaster recovery.
- Administer Red Hat and SUSE Linux systems; manage SUSE Linux enterprise high-availability clusters
- Implementing configuring monitoring tuning and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment; scheduling and executing the SAP transport system optimize and analyze performance issues design architectures of the landscape. Coordinate with different functional teams integration team SAP RISE team.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10 years of experience in SAP Basis administration and technical core tasks.
- 5 years of experience with SAP software installation upgrades support packages workload analysis and system error analysis.
- 2 years of experience supporting SAP operational systems .
- Experience with Linux/DB2 and Windows/MSSQL environments.
- Proficiency in SAP ECC S/4HANA SAP RISE SAP Analytics Cloud BW and Private Cloud.
- Experience in EHP8 upgrade is a plus.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field (Advanced degree preferred)
- Prior experience in professional services industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of SAP security practices and authorization concepts.
- Experience with SAP iDocs CHARM GRC and Solution Manager.
- Familiarity with middleware and integration tools (SAP PI/PO BTP Vertex OpenText MuleSoft).
- Experience with hybrid environments involving both on-premise and cloud SAP components.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
