Are you looking for an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a world-class company Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to join our team in Ireland Athlone. As a Facilities Supervisor you will play a crucial role in ensuring flawless operations of our facilities and support the companys mission to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervise maintenance mechanics.
- Plan and schedule all maintenance and preventative maintenance activities.
- Generate work orders track progress and ensure completion.
- Coordinate and implement daily work schedules prioritize tasks and dispatch personnel.
- Create and put into effect strategies to address specific issues concerning the operation of plant and equipment.
- Deliver technical aid and instruction to ensure alignment with cGMP guidelines and procedures.
- Identify review and approve purchases of equipment spare parts and services.
- Schedule and direct contractors for repairs and order spare and replacement parts.
- Coordinate key sustainability projects.
- Coordinate works from other onsite teams collaborators customers and contractors.
- Ensure that all facilities and services meet contract specifications and are delivered efficiently.
- Out of hours on call rota management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a decision-making supervisory role.
- Outstanding skills in planning scheduling and prioritizing tasks.
- Skilled at formulating and putting into effect action plans.
- Proficient in providing support and mentorship in adhering to regulations.
- Ability to coordinate and manage contractors and vendors.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Strict adherence to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Civil Facilities or related field).
- Proven facilities experience preferably in a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of HVAC cleanroom utilities (plumbing compressed air gases electrical) and building management systems.
- Knowledge of GMP and relevant EHS regulations.
- Proven management or supervisory skills.
- Outstanding communication problem-solving and collaborator management skills.
