About the Role

As the Lead Training & Competency Verification you will set the direction and oversee the operational delivery of training and competency programs for personnel engaged in high-risk activities. Reporting to the Manager HSE Assurance Reporting & Project you will play a pivotal role in:

What you can expect with this role

  • Lead end-to-end management of the VoC Program ensuring alignment with operational safety and compliance objectives.
  • Establish and maintain robust governance structures policies and quality assurance mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders technical experts and safety professionals to define and assess competency standards.
  • Oversee the development delivery and continuous improvement of safety training programs.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including RTOs and regulatory authorities.
  • Lead coach and develop the Training and Competency Verification team promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Your skills and experience

For this role we are looking for great talent with:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Safety and/or Health (or related discipline) and a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)orextensive relevant experience in a field-based operational role within a large multi-disciplined organisation.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and risk management principles as they apply to training and competency frameworks
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement business communication and relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams drive change and deliver results in complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSH and VET legislation standards and codes of practice.
  • Experience managing budgets and resources with a focus on service excellence and compliance.
