Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Float Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unitfor an exciting Travel or Local job in Fort Myers FL.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the PCU setting.
- Float between PCU units and potentially other sister campuses as needed.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document care accurately and timely using Epic EMR.
- Function as a core team member integrating seamlessly with permanent staff.
- Comply with ratio requirements (4-6 patients per nurse depending on patient mix).
- Participate in mandatory training and maintain certifications (BLS ACLS NIHSS).
- Support a positive workplace culture and uphold organizational values.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience required.
- Florida or Compact RN license with recent Nursys verification on profile.
- Degree accreditation must be reflected on the profile or have 5 years of relevant experience.
- Current certifications in BLS ACLS and NIHSS.
- Flexibility to float within a 50-mile radius including sister campuses.
- Ability to meet a hard documentation deadline prior to start (no exceptions).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system.
- Must be comfortable working in an adult and geriatric patient population.
- Willingness to work with travelers and adapt to unit culture.
