Compensation Overview

This role is based on flagged hours and overall shop performance.

Experience & Qualifications Needed:

Valid drivers license and clean driving record

10 years of automotive technician experience is required.
Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes models and sizes.
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment team-oriented flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment electrical engine alignment systems diagnostic equipment AC equipment etc.
Perform quality control: Inspect completed work for accuracy safety and Audi standards.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers compression gauges and computerized diagnostic devices.
Oversee the technician team: Assign jobs based on technician skill level workload and repair priority.
Monitor productivity and efficiency: Ensure that flat-rate and hourly technicians meet performance targets.
Mentor and train staff: Guide apprentices or entry-level techs and help implement Audi training programs.
Adequately explains the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
Assist technicians: Support less experienced techs with troubleshooting repair strategies and use of specialized tools or diagnostic equipment.
