You will be responsibile for managing Safety by guidance execution and support to safeguard operations systems and knowledge in compliance with applicable obligations and to sustainably and continually improve the Safety related performance - in global responsibility for the ContiTech organization including all CT-related locations and entities and in alignment with Business Areas.
In details your tasks will be:
- Develop and contribute proposals related to Health & Safety in relevance to the CT strategy and in alignment with respective stakeholders to ensure compliance and improve the management and performance of Safety - as leading subject matter expert for the global CT organization
- Derive tasks projects and programs from the CT strategy for Health & Safety focusing the requirements of Ergonomics
- Safeguard the ESH Management System for the subject of Health & Safety according to internal and external compliance obligations such as internal CT rules and applicable international standards
- Ensure task performance as strategically or operationally required and agreed within the CT ESH team in a teamwork manner and supporting each other
- Gather analyze and report Safety related performance data to derive required improvement actions and improvement potentials (Performance & Management Review contribution)
- Identify gather and report Health & Safety related risks harms and prospective changes and impacts ensure mitigation actions and preparedness
The future position holder can be located at strategically decided ContiTech location in Szeged (Hungary) Timisoara (Romania) Ponta Grossa (Brazil) or San Luis Potosi (Mexico).
Qualifications :
- Academic degree as Mechanical Engineer Safety Manager/Engineer ESH Manager or comparable
- Long-term experience in leading or management position
- Knowledge about International Standards (e.g. ISO 45001 OSHA DGUV)
- Experience as ESH/Safety System Auditor Lead Auditor qualification (acc. ISO 19011) preferred
- Profound experience in ESH or comparable preferably in rubber production or comparable industries and especially preferred in Health & Safety
- Professional experience in management of Health is preferred
- Business fluent English language skills (spoken and written)
- Strong team player with collaborative mindset
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Structured approach to tasks and projects
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel (approx. 10-20%)
