Job Summary
Thompson Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Field Services Senior Engineer III to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity and performance of construction projects through expert review technical problem-solving and materials engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction materials testing reports and field inspection results for compliance with specifications and standards
- Resolve complex technical issues related to materials construction methods and site conditions
- Engineer concrete mix designs tailored to project requirements and environmental conditions
- Develop and oversee concrete repair strategies including assessment material selection and implementation
- Collaborate with project managers contractors and clients to communicate findings and recommendations
- Mentor junior engineers and field technicians fostering best practices and technical excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Masters preferred)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction materials testing and field engineering
- Strong knowledge of ASTM ACI and other relevant standards
- Proven expertise in concrete mix design and repair engineering
- Exceptional analytical communication and leadership skills
