This Position reports to:
Front End Operations and Order Management LeaderKey Responsibilities
- Designs and implements plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets and arranging projectprocurement gate meetings as required/ creating and maintaining the project-related to procurement documents.
- Supports global sourcing initiatives as required. Negotiate agreements with suppliers to optimize inventory quality cost andobtain best terms & conditions for ABB.
- Manages supply risk by eliminating single sources for new critical components. Maintain knowledge of and conduct work activities in compliance with all safety policies.
- Creates and updates reports as required following the ABB standards.
- Executes and implements new directions within the area of responsibility.
- Applies standards on health safety environment and business ethics withinoperational work contract management and negotiations.
- Delivers and participates in training program s as required for compliance andprofessional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering and/orBusiness Administration in Supply Chain Management or related technical/STEMfield of study.
- 8 Years Experience in a Procurement or Manufacturing Environment performingsourcing activities and/or new product supply base development creatingcommodity strategies ensuring quality service and cost competitive supply base;performing procurement and materials management including identifying costdrivers world demand and supply for commodities like: steel copper aluminumand zinc; negotiating procurement contracts; and commuting across teams andpresenting to stakeholders.
- Experience in Cost Engineering Sourcing Quality and Proposals knowledge ofprocurement tools quality processes and understanding of commercial and legalterms and standard procurement procedures a plus.
- Must have strong SAP experience. Experience in supplier relations Supplier Managementthorough knowledge of procurement tools quality processes and understanding ofcommercial terms and standard procurement procedures a plus.
- Strong analyticalskills self-motivated and strong communication and negotiation skills.
- ISM/CPSM certificate desirable (Certified Professional in Supply Management) nice to have.
