About This Position
In keeping with the Marian Medical Center philosophy the Interventional Cardiology Registered Nurse
is an experienced practitioner who demonstrates in-depth knowledge of nursing patient care and the
ability to practice independently. Also serves as a resource person as well as a preceptor. Under
minimal supervision the identifies and implements nursing interventions that have less predictable
outcomes and evaluate the results of these interventions for a given patient population

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current or within previous 2 years work experience in Critical Care (CCU) primarily in Cardiovascular specialty Emergency Department (ED) or cardiac catheterization services department or interventional radiology department. Exceptions made in case by case basis.
- Current Unencumbered California RN State License.
- Current Associates Degree in Nursing from an Accredited Program
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
- Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or completion of ACLS course within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Angiographic and/or scrub experience desired with CCL Electrophysiology Lab (EP) or Interventional Radiology (IR) experience.
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) CCRNTM certification.
- Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist (RCIS) certification (and/or) CCI Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification.
