The Team

The Senior Operations Lead Ratings Operations is a critical role in enabling the effective and efficient operations of global Ratings processes and playing a key part in driving end-to-end process simplification that meets customer needs. As a strategic partner to multiple roles across the organization (Commercial Data Analytical Compliance Technology etc.) the Senior Operations Lead uses their business knowledge and operational acumen to ensure Ratings operational processes run effectively while continuously improving those processes to deliver business value.

The role will connect different teams capabilities and ideas to drive highly effective and collaborative a strategic mindset the role aligns operational activities with broader organizational goals ensuring that ratings are released accurately efficiently and on time every leader will work with key stakeholders to collaborate on the long-term strategic goals for Ratings Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Ratings Operations Specialists ensuring they meet core operational includes empowering the team to drive innovation and maintain a customer focus while continuously looking for new ways to add value to the ROS team.
  • Ensure accurate efficient and timely release of ratingsby leveraging a deep understanding of the end-to-end ratings process and analytical hierarchies.You will act as a strategic partner ensuring that operational activities are aligned with organizational goals and customer needs.
  • Represent the ROS team in senior business partner forums acting as a connector for various S&P role involves soliciting feedback and information to support workload planning while communicating updates and serving as a strategic liaison across the organization.
  • Identify business and process improvement opportunities role modeling Lean & Agile requires a proactive approach to finding efficiencies and standardizing processes ensuring that the team adopts best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Develop and utilize metrics to support management and improvement efforts ensuring alignment with strategic will analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement using these insights to guide decision-making and resource optimization.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and objective setting for the ROS function aligning with broader Ratings with cross-functional teams to drive strategic priorities and ensure that operational activities support long-term business goals. Your role will involve actively participating in building annual business plans and setting goals.

What Were Looking For

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years in industry preferably in Analytical or Operations roles.
  • 5 years in a management role with demonstrable experience coaching and developing teams.
  • Strong understanding of S&P Global Ratings business and operational processes.
  • Experience leading projects and exposure to various organizational roles.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Lean and Agile methodologies to drive team capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience in strategic planning and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • A customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering business value.
